A serial killer known as 'The Stranger' has been butchering young women throughout the past months. Without any leads, authorities are at a dead end. One night, Katrina Rose, a reporter for the New York Times, receives a phone call from an informant, offering information about The Stranger. Katrina accepts, and agrees to meet in a specified location later. What happens next leads Katrina into a night of unspeakable terror.
